Thursday 7/8

It's been a good week workout wise. I worked two less shifts than usual, so I had a little extra time and energy. On Tuesday I biked to my work to pick up my paycheck. I haven't biked (outside of the gym) in a really, really long time. But I'm happy to report that other than a sore seat and a little windedness going up the long hill, I made the eight mile round trip will little difficulty.
Yesterday and today were both gym days. I am hoping I will have the energy tomorrow to go on a small run after the gym. I've been getting some personal assistance from the trainer at the gym, and hopefully it will help me push things to the next level.

Thursday 7/1

I made it to the gym today and one other time last week. I haven't been on a proper run, but I do at least run a few blocks with the dog every day. He and I both need it! I'm glad to say I have lost about three pounds since my vacation. I have been pretty strict about not eating anything made with white flour. Not that I think flour is evil, but not eating it means I can't snack on coffee cake and pizza while at work. In fact it eliminates pretty much all of the convenient foods that I eat when I should take a moment to make a healthy meal.
